Are you interested in contributing to the Cupcake Critic? Do you have a way with words and want to express yourself? Now is your opportunity! We are looking for contributors for recipes, articles, general news and events. We are also looking for a social media manager. 

Contributors

Are you a cupcake fanatic? Do you love Cupcakes and have a way with words? Then The Cupcake Critic wants you! Currently we seek contributors in the DC metro area, New York, and Atlanta. 

Contributors will:
1. Post 1-2 articles per week.
2. Research and develop story ideas
3. Shoot and submit pictures with each story idea. 

Familiarity with WordPress and Blogger formats necessary. 

Compensation: Cupcakes, Business Cards, Clips, and Cupcake street-cred!

General News Editor

Do you love Cupcakes and have a way with words? Can you name your favorite cupcake shops and the celebs who feature who share your love? Then The Cupcake Critic wants you! 

Duties include:

1. Research and develop story ideas.

2. Receive and read daily press releases

3. Communicate with PR firms and contact for story ideas. 

4. Post 2-3 articles per week.

5. Shoot and/or search for pictures with each story.

6. Respond to event invitations and attend events as needed. 

7. Assign stories to contributors as needed. 

Must be familiar with WordPress and Blogger formats. 

Compensation: Cupcakes, Business Cards, Events, Experience, Clips, and Cupcake street-cred!

Recipe Editor 

Do you love a good recipe? Do you also have a way with words? Can you taste the difference between shortening, butter, and oil? If so, The Cupcake Critic wants you! 

Duties include:

1. Research and develop recipe ideas.

2. Post 4-5 articles per month.

3. Shoot and submit pictures with each recipe. 

* Familiarity with WordPress and Blogger formats necessary.

Social Media Coordinator/Intern

Job Description: 
- Create and manage the social media schedule. 
- Manage all video uploads, encoding, and editing for Youtube and Vimeo. 
- Upload and catalog all photos. 
- Organize existing photo catalog. 
- Watermark all photos with corporate logo. 
- Assist in the creative direction of campaigns. 

Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of social media and marketing. 
- Knowledge of graphics programs such as Photoshop. 
- Excellent communication skills whether written or oral. 
- Excellent spelling, grammar, etc.
- Must be well organized.
*Knowledge of videography and editing would be AWESOME!
