So...the word on the cupcake street is that the Haagen Daz in Pentagon City Mall is selling cupcakes! The tip (and pic) came from a member of the Critic's cupcake-loving community. They haven't had the cupcakes themselves but suggest that the cupcakes hold the freshness and authenticity muster.
Haagen Daz's assortment ranges from: sweet potato, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate turtle, Candied lemon and strawberry creme. Ummm...sounds tempting. Looks like The Critic may be making a trip to Pentagon City soon!
